| July 1, 2010, Cowansville: When students from the Atelier Danse Expression in Cowansville took to the Massey-Vanier stage for a dance spectacle on Friday evening June 4, they were excited and perhaps a bit nervous. What they probably didn’t realize was what a good time awaited them. And that their efforts would raise over $1700 for the BMP Foundation to provide new equipment to the BMP Hospital. |

Thirty-three performers, ranging in age from three years old to 55, performed Ballet Jazz and Hip-Hop numbers for an audience of 300 people. The program was organized by the two owners of the Dance School, sisters Jessica and Josianne Inkel, both of whom have been dancing now for 23 years, and teaching dance for five years. The show capped off the second season for the young dance school located on Miner Street in Cowansville.
The results were impressive, providing an enjoyable show that was well choreographed from start to finish. “People have commented very favourably on the costumes and the theatrical nature of the dances performed,” commented Jessica and Josianne. “In the days that followed, the performers still had stars in their eyes. This was a new experience for many of them, and in the end, both the dancers and those who came to watch were thrilled. Many are talking already about doing it again next year”.
Special congratulations goes to Jessica and Josianne’s parents, Sylvie Racine and Pierre Inkel and to friends Joel Mottard and Cynthia Beaupré who helped the girls turn the event into such a wonderful success.
The BMP Foundation thanks everyone who organized, participated and supported this event, for the funds that were raised.
